“La Casita” was built in 2003 by Nicole Windlin, a Swiss student of Social Sciences. After her departure, other students continued her project, but the decision of the town’s municipality to install a fence surrounding the soccer field where “La Casita” is located stopped the project.
From August to December of 2008, two other Swiss students of Social Sciences, Sarah Schnellmann y Franziska Schnetz, in cooperation with Tierra Prometida association for development, were able to revive the project by building a fence around “La Casita” to separate it from the soccer field.
