The main goal of the Carpa project is to offer homeless or drug addicted people a frame for a stable <strong>social refuge<\/strong> they can use at least once every week.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-660 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vida-nueva.co.cr\/en\/files\/2011\/05\/carpa2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"carpa2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vida-nueva.co.cr\/en\/files\/2011\/05\/carpa2-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.vida-nueva.co.cr\/en\/files\/2011\/05\/carpa2.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The huge tent \u201cCarpa\u201d is located in front of the town\u2019s main church and offers two hot meals for the symbolic price of 100 colones (around 15 Euro cents) to approximately 50 people. To guarantee a nice environment we organize table games and other activities. We also try to be very comprehensive of our visitors\u2019 needs. We try to look for solutions to their problems so they can reintegrate into society. Around San Isidro certain organized groups of women work with \u201cVida Nueva\u201d in order to provide rehabilitative alternatives to homeless people.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-675 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vida-nueva.co.cr\/en\/files\/2011\/05\/carpa3-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"carpa3-300x171\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/>The Carpa project was founded on March 28 of 2008, thanks to the efforts of Vida Nueva and other organizations like: Hogar Emanuel, Asociaci\u00f3n Pro Hospital, Asociaci\u00f3n Familia Kolping, Asociaci\u00f3n Humanitas y Pastoral Social and other local enterprises.
